My trip to Madrid

The first day we took the AVE Girona- Madrid. There we visited the Congreso and later we had lunch in the Museo del jamón. Then we went to the Museo del Prado. After that we stayed in the Parque del Retiro, a beautiful place to relax.We saw La Puerta de Alcalà too. Afterwards, we had free time in Opera, and immediately we had dinner in Fresc Co. And finally we went to the hostel to sleep.
The second day, we visited the Plaza del Sol, and then we went to the Plaza Mayor. There we saw lots of horses, for a politic topic.And at 11 o'clock we found a group of firemen, and they teach us some photos about the reascue and they explain how to save the life and the importance of the water. Then we had lunch near the Plaza de la Opera. After that we saw El Palacio Real and we visited the warriors of Shian.
The third day we saw the Plaza de España, and another buildings. Then we visited el Templo de Debod, and followed we went to the Senado. After that we took the bags end we went by Metro to the Estación de Atocha. There were turtles, and a lot of plants. Finally we returned to Catalonia by Ave, and to Banyoles by bus.

One Direction at Madame Tussauds

Recently, One Direction were transformed into wax figures at the famous London museum, Madame Tussauds. It was a big honour for the group!

In 2013 , the five member of One Directionhad two sitting with the sculptors who were to create their was figures for Madame Tussauds. The sculptors' biggest challenge was to capture the boys' playful cheeky smiles and show their true personalities

WHO WAS MADAME TUSSAUD?

London's famous wax musum is named after a Frenchwoman, Marie Tussaud. Marie had special talent for making wax models.

In the early 1800s, she came to Grat Britain with her was models. In 1835, she opened a permanent exhibition. Today, Madame Tussauds is one of London's most popular attractions!

TAKING HARRY'S MEASUREMENTS

Here, Harry is having his head measured by the sculptor's assistants. They took around 200 measurements and photos of each of the 1D boys. Zayn, Liam, Louis, Niall and Harry loved the experience!

SCULPTING ZAYN'S HEAD

This is Zayn's head... in clay. To create it, the sculptors made a wire frame. Then they worked the clay on the frame to form Zayn's head and face. They constantly checked the star's measurements using callipers

MOULDING LOUIS' HAND

Here, Louis is placing his hand in a box filled with alginate – the material dentist use to make teeth impressions. After two or three minutes, the alginate becomes solid mould. This mould is then filled with plaster to produce a replica of Louis' hand. 

LIAM'S PERFECT SMILE

To make the teeth for Liam's was model, Liam had to bite into dental resing. The mould was then sent to a dental company which specializes in false teeth. The company spent four days making a set of teeth to reproduce Liam's perfect smile

NIALL'S EYE COLOUR

Niall is ahving fun choosing from Tussauds' collection of 200 glass eyes. To create the eyes for Niall's was model, the eye-making wxperts measure his eye ball, pupil and iris. They then have to find the exact colour for his eyes. After then hours, the eyes are ready. They have to be perfect - it's the eyes that will make Niall's model look real!

A brave rescue

The rescue happened while I was in holidays in “The Alps”. The last week. It was amazing.

I was skiing in the Alps and i listened people that fell in a hole. There was a boy that while he was skiing he fell in a hole for accident. I remember that I had a rope, and I helped him. Then I must call the hospital becose, the boy had a leg that was broke. Finally became an helicopter with doctors and cure the boy.

I did all that I can do for help these The doctors said thet I'm brave, but I think that only I'm a good perosn.  

Report about a survey

The topic of the survey was 'Your opinions about the future'. A gropu of 27 people did the survey and in general they were positive. These are the results:

Most of the class think that humans will exist in a thousand years' time, the otherpeople think that humans won't exist in a thousand years' time. Everybody think that the world will be a better place in the future. The positive person think i becaus the humans will learn to protect the planet, and the negative person think it becaus we won't be there.

A lot of people say that will be normal in the next thousand, and about half of the people say that the humans will live on other planets. Half of the class want to got to the space.

My name's Maria Serra and I live in South London in England. I like the area where I live, so I want to improve it.

I'm my opinion, young people spend all their time hanging around on the street. There are sometimes problems with vandalism and graffiti. As a result, there isn't anywhere for young people to go. There aren't any facilities for them.

I think the council should do something about this. I'm sure they must have some land which local people can use for a youth café project.
